Disinfectant wipes are used to clean, such as Chlorox or Lysol wipes and are not intended for use to clean human skin. The EPA has stated that it expects “all products on List N to kill the coronavirus SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19) when used according to the label directions.“

Alcohol wipes without any other chemicals are not a List N product, as they do not require EPA approval to produce and so no validity of claims against the virus have been verified by the EPA, however many believe they are just as affective but the harshness of the alcohol can cause surface discoloration, skin irritation from prolonged use, they have strong smells, etc.
